The Conwy Feast is Conwy's local food festival held in the month of October each year.

The Conwy Feast is now in it's 5th year and will be held on the 25th and 26th October this year.

The festival is North Wales largest food festival and attracts close to 25,000 visitors each year.

The festival began life in 2003 to promote local produce and cooking skills in combination with the Conwy Honey Festival.

In the early days the Conwy Feast had just one hall within the town and one outdoor marquee bearing little resemblance to the festival today.

Today the festival dominates the town with multiple outdoor marquee's and indoor facilities.

This year a large marquee will be hosted on the quayside demonstrating the Farming for Food section allowing visitors to get up close and personal with farm animals.

Also on offer is a new attraction this year allowing visitors to bring their own apples to make Conwy Feast cider.

Experienced chefs from far and wide are drawn to the event for special demonstrations throughout the two day extravaganza.

This year the feast's patron Bryn Williams will demonstrate his skills in special events on the Saturday and Sunday. Bryn is the chef patron of Odette’s in London’s Primrose Hill.

Another celebrity chef in 2008 is Aled Glyn Williams who works in the Michelin-starred Plas Bodegroes in Pwllheli.

Lot's of local companies get involved in the event showing off a wide variety of produce with the chance to win special awards for their efforts.

There is no charge for entry to Conwy Feast although individual events may be chargeable. It is best to check with the event organisers at the time.

Opening Times

The Conwy Feast opens at 6pm on Friday 24th October 2008 and runs through to late on Sunday the 26th October.
